Well the relaunch went well and I would like to thank everyone that visited the site last week especially our new customers, thank you for your patronage and for supporting my dream.

No Water

The wife and I had reserved a boat for Memorial Day for her to tan and me to catch some flounder on opening day weekend. As I approached the marina office from the parking lot the young attendant approached me and says" i don't think we can let you go out, theres no water" thinking it was a joke line I continue past him to the office as I turn the corner this is what I see.

As the kid said "No Water" I could not believe how low the tide was, this is a salt water marina in the south bay in New Jersey.

As the marina owner stated to me "in his 13 years he has Never seen the water this low".

Well maybe next weekend.

Product Samples ready for the shelves..............


After a few starts and stops I have finally received working product for the line holder part of the hook & leader holder.

Take a look at some completed BananaStrings™ Hook & Leader Holders, assembled and packaged for the Shelves/Sale.

  

I will be re-starting the Kickstarter campaign soon to raise funds for product manufacturing, production and more importantly sales.

Since I have refined the manufacturing and production it is time to focus on the distribution of the product and R&D of additional products for The BananaStrings™  line.

Well I now have a sample of the 2nd part of the Bananastrings Hook & Leader Holder, the line holder itself.

I now have some extensive analysis & testing ahead and will hopefully have the Alpha & Beta testing completed within the next month or so.

I will be putting together a new campaign on Kickstarter and Indigogo to raise cash flow to help with material purchasing with a targeted launch on Halloween.

Well it has taken some time, but I finally found a manufacturer to make the 2nd part to the Bananastrings Hook & Leader Holder.

It took a couple of months to produce a workable rubber composition and my 1st working samples arrived today.

Now the trials and tribulations begin, full testing of product should be complete over the next few months. I have a few fellow fisherman that have graciously volunteered to do some alpha and beta testing of my product.

I also have a few anxious buyers, so we will try to complete all the testing as quickly and thoroughly as we can.

Bananastrings keeping the momentum going

Well as the kickstarter campaign come to an end it doesn't look as though I will make the goal.

As the campaign comes to an end I come away with a lot of knowledge learned and here are few points.

The product I created was recognized by my peers as an exceptional product with several articles and a radio spot created.

The exposure and chatter created by advertising and social media was an incredible experience. over the last 45 days I was exposed and created a Facebook page for myself and the company, a twitter account, a kickstarter campaign, created this website with the help of my friend Tim, hired a PR company, created and maintain this blog and got a front row seat to see how all these venue can create a winning environment for any entrepreneur with a driving spirit.

There is no doubt this is not for the faint of heart, a first attempt on a crowd-funding platform and not attaining the end goal is a little hard to swallow, especially after all the positive feedback and inquiring emails from people wanting to obtain the product. And yes I did get some not so positive messages and down right negative comments.

This is what drives us, we dream, we create, we believe and we realize our visions.
